1.       Where do I find the guidelines for online registration and application for Import Permit, Import Release Order or Phyto-Sanitary Certificate?

Ž      Please refer to “Operational Guidelines for Exporters and Importers” link provided on the home page of “http://plantquarantineindia.nic.in”

2.       “Account is not Activated / Account deactivated” message appears when I tried to login in the system

Ž      Plant Quarantine Station where you have applied, activates your account after verification process. You will receive mail regarding activation of your account. In case your account does not get activated for longer duration, please contact the Plant Quarantine Station you have applied for registration. The contact details of the Plant Quarantine Stations are available in  Operational Guidelines for Exporters and Importers”(Section 2.2) link provided on the home page of “http://plantquarantineindia.nic.in”

 

3.       “User not found” message appears when I tried to login in the system.

Ž      Please check whether you are typing correct username and password. Please note that these entries are case sensitive.

4.       “Commodity name” for which I desire to apply is not available in the list of commodities provided in the box for selection.

"Commodity and Category does not match” message being displayed

Ž      In case of import only those commodities which are notified in Plant Quarantine (Regulation of import into India) Order 2003 and subsequent amendments thereunder, are added in the commodity list. Regional Plant Quarantine Station, Chennai (RPQS, Chennai) has been authorized for maintaining the lists of commodities. For further clarification you may please contact RPQS Chennai (e-mail: rpqfsc@nic.in).   

5.       Internet Browser is not responding after accessing website.

Ž      Check Internet connection

Ž      Delete the Cookies and history of  browser. For this

                                           i.   Select “Tools” option from Menu of Internet Browser

                                          ii.  Select “Internet options”

                                        iii.  Tick “Delete browsing history” to delete Browsing History

                                        iv.  To delete Cookies, Click “Delete” button and tick “Temporary Internet Files”, “Cookies” and “History” option by clicking.

                                          v.  Click “Delete” button

                                        vi.  Click “OK” button
   

6.       “Please Use a new window to login “ message appears

Ž      Close the browser and access the website again

7.       “IRO fee is not configured” message appears

Ž      Contact the RPQS Chennai- rpqfsc@nic.in.  Mention the  category and unit you are selecting while applying for  Import Permit  or Import Release Order

8.       How do you I know status of my application?

Ž      Please refer “Operational Guidelines for Exporters and Importers” provided on the home page of http://plantquarantineindia.nic.in. Detail instructions are available in it in Section 1.4.3.

9.       My e-mail id has been changed. How should I update it?

Ž      Please refer “Operational Guidelines for Exporters and Importers” provided on the home page of http://plantquarantineindia.nic.in. Detail instructions are available in it for updating your profile in Section 1.6.

10.    I forgot my password.
